BIOME Update: We are in the lab!

This week, BIOME reached a big milestone of getting our Wick-It project into lab for training and preliminary research. We’re excited to pave the path for student-run project work, granting our members autonomy that they would otherwise never find in classes or research labs.
On top of our project planning, we’ll host another BIOME social event this Saturday (Durand, 8PM, come hungry!): GATTACA MOVIE NIGHT! Come hang out with us, watch an awesome sci-fi flick, and join us for a short discussion on the ethics and themes of the movie following the film!
Lastly, we’re working to launch our first dinner in our BIOME Pioneers series, which will host two of the founders of Opentrons (http://opentrons.com/) at 7PM on Wednesday (2/10). Stay tuned for info on this exciting event and how you can apply to get a spot.
